Plumbing Mold Inspection Steps

Mold cannot grow unless it has access to water. One of the most common causes of a building mold problem is water leaks from the building's water supply and water sewage drain pipes.

For effective plumbing mold inspection, use a strong flashlight to check for water leaks, water damage, and mold growth in all building areas with plumbing such as bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry room, as well as all accessible plumbing lines and sewer drain lines.

Use a moisture meter to scan all wall, ceiling, and floor areas that contain water supply or sewer drain lines. If the moisture meter finds a wet spot, that wet spot needs to be opened up for close visual inspection and mold testing, plumbing repairs, and mold removal.
